Add a custom slider under the logo and menu

Hi

I’m trying to add a custom slider under the logo and menu. Unfortunately, when I use the shortcode function, the space between the logo/menu and the slider section is large and I can’t set a smaller margin. Do you know of any custom code that will allow me to reduce the size of this header section so that the slider graphic is right under the logo and menu?
