Add quote option for listings

Below options are required for most rental booking marketplace. Would like to know how to accomplish those in HivePress using its features/plugins or using WooCommerce/ other WP plugins along with HivePress.

1. Subscription Payment: Customer will purchase rental of a house for 12 months but will pay monthly rentals each month.

2. Security Deposits: Along with rent amount, there would be another option that would show security deposits (set by admin) in the checkout calculation which will be added to total payable. Admin would be able to enable/ disable this for each rental.

3. Quote: For items, admin and vendor would be able to set a Quote option (customer asks for pricing and further details based on his/her requirements) in addition to existing pre-set fixed pricing.

4. File Upload: During registration, Host/Vendor will be able to upload documents (e.g. certificates, ID, photos etc.) if Admin enables this. During each order customer will be able to upload documents (e.g. photos, clearance, ID etc.) if Admin enables this.

1. Unfortunately, there is no recurring payment feature, and users need to manually purchase a package or plan again. But we plan to release this feature in future updates.

1. Great to hear that subscription payment would be coming which is a necessity for recurring booking. One suggestion is that you keep 'time bound option (a start time and end time) along with perpetual option. Subscription and related payment can be daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, yearly etc. Booking calendar for each vendor listing should reflect the subscriptions (occupancy) so that already subscribed dates will not be bookable.

2. Good to see HivePress already has this feature.

3. ‘Request’ plugin allows Buyer to post request against which Seller (Vendor) can counter-offer or accept offer. I’s talking about ‘Request Quote’ where Vendor does not show prices for listing. Instead, a ‘Request Quote’ button is shown for a listing (if set for that particular listing). Buyer clicks that button to request a quote from vendor on that particular listing. Vendor places a quote (a Price field, a Notes field) to Buyer. This conversation (Price+Note) can go on. Finally, once both party accepts the quote/offer then Buyer can make the payment (final price) using payment gateways. For Direct Bank transfers, a PDF invoice will be sent to Buyer and order status would be ‘pending payment’ till payment is manually received and post payment receipt, vendor can manually update the order status. This feature is common requirement for B2B use cases.

4. Besides URL, Text, Checkbox etc. is there any vendor attribute for file upload field?

Unfortunately, there’s no such feature, it would require a custom implementation. But thanks for your suggestion, we’ll consider adding this feature.
