I see that your users have been asking for the SMS notification feature to be added for some time, but that it hasn’t been done.
I understand that it’s not necessarily an immediate priority.
I’m just wondering if some people have managed to add this, or if the hivepress team has planned a solution for using this feature to notify people who have booked a reservation, for example.
I hired someone on Upwork to do this but then something went wrong
however for SMS notifications for messaging there is a simple workaround (i did not actually try the whole cocktail but it should work)
Use Better Messages for the messaging system (it integrates beautifully with hivepress,
Use BuddyPress for behind Better Messages (perfect integration)
now use WPnotif, for SMS notifications for BP messages (integrates out of the box)
WPnotif offers the best solutions for SMS, by country SMS gateway, WhatsApp integration etc.

Do I have to go through BuddyPress? I would simply like the hivepress email notifications to have an SMS version
I think you can use wpnotif for any wordpress notification, but it would require some skill to do it.
But for BP notifications and WooCommerce notifications, you dont need to do anything, because its basically already integrated
So as the Hivepress orders work on Woo, and if you make the messaging work on BP (free), you are covered for all main notification needs
