This is 100% a issue of third-party plugins, customizations, cache, or blocking by the hosting provider. Please disable third-party plugins and customizations (if there are any) and check if this issue persists. If you use a caching plugin, please make sure that caching is disabled for logged-in users.
If the issue still persists, please contact your hosting provider.
I have no cache plugin or third party plugins. what else can be the root cause?

We use the core WordPress function for uploading images wp_handle_upload() – Function | Developer.WordPress.org so unfortunately there’s not much we can do on the plugin’s end, the upload speed depends on WordPress-level and website-level factors, such as the hosting plan, server location, other content on your site (e.g. the number of existing database entries), server file writing speed, etc.
Please try uploading the same image on the theme demo site, if it’s much faster then there’s something related to the website setup, if it takes a long time and the issue can be reproduced we’ll try to debug this further.

If this recommendation doesn’t help, I also recommend checking your hosting provider’s settings or contacting their support, as they may be blocking the image upload.
When adding listings, the image upload is taking terribly long. Often, the wheel begins to turn, showing upload progress, but then stalls out. Sometimes refreshing the page shows the uploads did happen and the listing is able to submit. I’ve installed LiteSpeed Cache which has helped with the speed overall, but this issue with very slow upload persists.

I am also having issues with uploading images to listings.
Yesterday, I was able to upload images, but they would appear blurry (low quality) in the gallery although the quality was fine in the Media Library. Linking this post as it may be related: Gallery images increase in file size and lower quality.
Today, the images are not uploading to the listings at all (stays stuck on the spinner), although they are showing uploaded to the Media Library.
Hi, I just tried to upload an image to your demo site and it did the same thing. Glitched out as the wheel was scrolling and stuck. I’m only using the LiteSpeed Cache plugin which y’all recommend. This is the only issue I’m having with loading on the site. Can you please look into this further?

Thanks for the details. Please note that we cannot help with setting up third-party plugins. However, as a workaround, we recommend reviewing this tutorial: How to Speed up a HivePress-built Website | HivePress Blog. That is, if LiteSpeed is configured correctly, then loading should be fast.
