Hello, the option: “Restrict in access to the WordPress dashboard” (in HivePress settings) does not seem to work properly, because I have it selected, and new users after adding an advertisement automatically receive the “Contributor” role, instead of the default “Subscriber” role. As a result, they unfortunately have access to the Wordpress panel. I use this theme: ListingHive - Free directory WordPress theme | HivePress Themes. How to fix it?
Hi,
This is how it should work by default, users who have at least one listing published automatically become vendors and get the Contributor role, but please note that only administrators have access to the admin panel, so automatically vendors cannot access the backend, I recommend checking your site settings in more detail, you may still be logged in as an old user who has the administrator role.
I log in in Chrome’s incognito mode, where I have never logged in as admin. Unfortunately, after receiving the “Contributor” role, the user sees some of the administrative functions from some guidelines - I am sending a screenshot
Additionally, when logging out of such an account, the Wordpress login window appears, which may confuse users
Hi,
Please make sure you register through the frontend form. If the error is repeated, please send us a link to your site so we can look closer.
