Booking timezone need to be specified

Hello,

I have a problem with the booking timezone. I was able to select it when I created a Listing but if I want to add a new one I am not allowed because I receive a message notification “Booking timezone need to be specified”.

Can somebody tell me what may be happening?

Hi,

Most likely, you have enabled the Manage availability per vendor feature in HivePress > Settings > Bookings, and now you have a field to fill in in Account > Settings.

Can you please specify where is the field to fill in Account>Settings? Which account do you mean?

On the other hand, if I specify Booking Slot duration to 60 minutes it displays with an interval of 60 minutes, from 13:00 to 14:00 and from 15:00 to 16:00 so the period from 14:00 to 15:00 is missing.

Hi,

Sorry for the confusion. Please check if you have enabled time slots and time zones in HivePress > Settings > Bookings; if so, you need to fill in the Booking timezone in Account > Settings (on the frontend). Also, you may have time slots disabled, but the time zones function is enabled; please check this additionally (when time slots are enabled, the timezone function appears).

Many thanks for your reply. Finally, your first recommendations went well. I could solve the problem.

On the other side, I have two other questions:

  1. Is it possible to add the button List a Property twice? In order to have one for booking spaces and one for booking services?

  2. Is there any possibility to make the menu header sticky? So it keeps showing meanwhile I scroll down the page?

Hi,

  1. Unfortunately, there is no such feature, you need a custom implementation. But as a workaround, I recommend using the same form but adding listings using different categories.

  2. Yes, it is possible, but it will require additional customization. Also, you can try to use this plugin Sticky Menu & Sticky Header – WordPress plugin | WordPress.org

Related to the first point, is it possible to change the text button from “List a Property“ to add “Add Listing”?

On the other side, I would like to have the price displayed together with the text / by night or / by hour depending on the type of the booking diferentiating between nightly and hourly bookings. Is it possible?

And last, on the requests form, if I want to set the budget to 159.000 it displays it afterwards as 15.
Where can I adjust it? And also happens the same when making an offer.

Is it possible to also sell services and products apart from bookings?
And the service price to be calculated by multiplying the pax? For bookings I have disabled this option of multiplying by pax. Is it possible to enable it only for certain service and product listings?

  1. Yes, please try following this screencast How to translate RentalHive - HivePress Help Center It’s about translation but the process is the same for changing static texts.

  2. The “/ night” format should already be applied to nightly bookings but time-based bookings don’t use the “/ hour” format by default because the time slot duration may be different. Setting this format is possible but this would require a custom code snippet.

  3. Please try entering it without a dot, it may be detected as a decimal separator so zeros are removed by the browser.

Yes, you can sell services and products. To do this, I recommend restricting bookings to specific categories in HivePress > Settings > Bookings > Bookings Categories.
This feature will not work if you disable it in HivePress > Settings > Bookings. Unfortunately, a custom implementation is required here to display guests for certain categories.
