Can I keyword search vendors by the name of an attribute tied to a category?

We can keywords search listings by the name of an attribute tied to a category.

Listings and vendor have the same setup But I don’t know why but can’t vendor’s search.

Please help me.

Let me explain my action procedure to you.
(My site is a Japanese site, so the displayed text includes Japanese.)

1. Create Parent Categories.
   In this case, name it “Test Parent”,
   and the slug name is “test-parent”.
   

   

2. Create Child Categories.
   Create child categories named “Test Child”, with a slug name of “test-child”, and select the parent category created just now.
   

   

3. Create an Attribute.
   The next step is to create an attribute linked to the “Child Category”.
   Title the attribute “I want to search this word here”, and check the box for “include in keyword search”.
   

   

4. Create a Vendor.
   Create a vendor you want to search for, linked with the “Test Child”.
   

   

5. Search for a keyword on the vendor’s page.
   Finally, search for the keyword using the attribute title.
   In this case, the keyword is “word”. However, nothing is found.
   

   
   
   
   

Following the same procedure as above, the listing can be searched successfully.

Why can’t vendors do it? Did I make a mistake anywhere?

We checked this issue from our side, and it seems okay. Please ensure that after creating the attribute, you go to the vendor settings and specify this attribute. Also, if this issue persists, please disable third-party plugins and customizations (if there are any) and check. If you use a caching plugin, ensure that caching is disabled for logged-in users.
