Cannot add location in add listings

In add listings - in the location field - when I enter one alphabet the box immediately turn grey and I cannot type anything else
How do I fix this?

Thank you very much for your reply. I have tried to follow setting up Google Maps API key step by step - still not sure where I got it wrong. Will try again and see.
