how can I change the color of this background? when I am not using a website banner

You can change this color using CSS tweaks on the .header-hero class (How to add custom code snippets - HivePress Help Center).

I forgot about the fact that I can freely modify CSS classes, I guess I got too used to snipped code, thanks
