I insert an image into my blog post but the image does not appear in the thumbnail of the recent posts section of the home page. Where do I put the image so that it appears like the canned blog posts in experthive?

If you specified the correct featured image in Posts > edit post, then please disable third-party plugins and customizations (if there are any) and check if this issue persists. If you use a caching plugin, make sure that caching is disabled for logged-in users.
