Emails for cancellations

When I set that pending bookings should be cancelled after a 48 hours automatically, the renter and the vendor don’t get an email that the booking got cancelled. Versus, when it gets cancelled by the renter or declined by the host - the other party does get an email notifying that it was cancelled. Is there something I’m getting wrong or this is the default setting?
If this is how the website works, is there any way to make them yes get an email when it’s cancelled automatically?

In this version, the notification is available only when you accept or decline a booking request (transition from pending status to publish).

But thanks for your suggestion, we’ll consider adding this feature.
