How do I select multiple categories in the search form?

I would like to implement multiple selection of categories.
Currently, only one category can be selected for the red line area in the attached image.
How can I do this?

Hi,

Unfortunately, there’s no way to search by multiple categories at once because these are like listing types (each category can have its specific listing fields and search filters, this would mix them). If there are multiple levels of categories, users can still search by the parent category and view all the listings from child categories. Another workaround is using a separate custom Select attribute with Multiple selections enabled.

Thank you for your reply.
I understand.

I’m sorry, may I ask an additional question?
You taught me how to customize Select attributes.
Next, I want to deselect the parent category of an attribute.

However, I currently can’t come up with a solution.
What should I do to achieve this?
Or is it even possible to implement it?

Hi,

Please explain what you mean by “deselect the parent category.” If you mean uncheck the checkbox displayed by default in categories, it will require custom implementation.

Sorry,My english have been poor.

I want to implement that blue line’s checkbox can’t selected, only green line’s checkbox can selected.

Could I that implement ?

Hi,

Sorry, there’s no simple code snippet for this, it would require a custom implementation. If customizations beyond the available features are required for your site, please consider hiring someone for custom work https://fvrr.co/32e7LvY
