How to add background hero video

Hi Support Team,

I’m trying to embed an “autoplay background hero video” on the top section of my homepage, similar to how some websites use a video as a visual background for their hero section.

I want the video to:

  • Autoplay without controls
  • Be muted by default
  • Loop continuously

Can you confirm the best settings or embed code to achieve this using my current plan?

Hi,

Please note that there are two options to add this functionality:

  1. Overwrite template parts How to override template parts - HivePress Help Center and add video using the code How To Create a Fullscreen Video Background

  2. Instead of the default hero background, use a block such as Cover, there is a video background option, but note that this may require CSS tweaks, as we have not tested this solution.
