How to configure site like showcase example?

Hi everyone,

I’m setting up a directory site using HivePress with the ExpertPress theme and aiming for a structure similar to RetirementBeing.com (a site from the HivePress showcase). However, I’m unsure how they’ve configured their setup and would appreciate some guidance.

Specifically, I’m trying to determine:

  • Are the listings on their site actual listings, or are they vendor profiles?
  • How do they achieve their layout and page structure?
  • Any advice on key settings, HivePress extensions, or customizations required to replicate a similar setup?

I’ve started to review the KB, Docs, and other resources. Is there a specific resource I should focus on?

If anyone has insights on best practices for structuring HivePress + ExpertPress this way, I’d appreciate any advice!

Unfortunately, we are not very familiar with this site’s customization, as it was created by the client, and we do not have detailed information about what changes were made there. However, please note that a custom implementation and CSS tweaks were added.

It’s based on listings. It shows when you open up the source code (Ctrl+U) for this page for instance.

<body class="hp_listing-template-default single single-hp_listing ...

Theme is based on blocksy. Most plugins are hivepress. But you can imagine, a lot of customisation is involved.
