It will be really helpful to provide an option for people to pay to become vendors on the site. I hope this feature will be added in the upcoming updates. Meanwhile can you provide a snippet that could make this possible? It will really help to work around the lack of KYC verification with your theme/plugin.

It seems like you’ve yet to explore the range of extensions available for HivePress.
For example, if you use the Memberships plugin in conjunction with WooCommerce, you can charge users to unlock a Membership plan with a variety of perks of your choosing. (E.g Ability to create X number of listings, ability to view something hidden (a phone number for example) and more.)
There’s tons of other extensions for adding various other features to HivePress - it’s a highly customisable framework!
There’s not currently a dedicated KYC extension, however, you can easily add a contact form on your website with an attachment field if you want to request that users verify their identity or qualifications before you approve their account or listing.
There’s tons of blog posts, help center answers, plugin documentation, developer documentation, as well as, this community forum which is packed full of useful information, too.
Tldr; There’s a lot to learn, and it can feel overwhelming at times, but it’s highly customisable in almost every way imaginable.

Can you confirm that the membership extension can restrict users from becoming vendors until they have bought a membership plan? I’ve gone through your documentations, and videos, this isn’t stated clearly. It is only said that it could restrict users from accessing/viewing certain attributes or other website contents.

As mentioned in your other topic, users become vendors when they attempt to submit a listing. Using the Memberships extension, you can create a plan that restricts users [future vendors] from posting listings until they purchase a membership plan. We’re actively working on improving our documentation and will have the updates available soon.
