I have a problem with synchronizing listing attributes with vendor attributes. Synchronization does not work if the vendor does not update its profile first. If the profile is updated everything works. I am on the HivePress 1.7.9.
Do you have any suggestions for solving the problem?
Hi,
Please provide more details regarding this issue (e.g., your actions step by step with screenshots, screencast, etc.). This will help us to reproduce and resolve the issue faster.
If the vendor does not update its profile first, attribute synchronization does not work. In the screenshort you can see the synchronized fields, but after inserting a listing, if the vendor wants to insert another listing the fields are not filled in automatically. In order to work again the vendor is forced to enter his profile and update it. I hope I explained my problem well.

Hi, have you a solution about this ?
Do you mean that your website is asking the vendor to update their profile every time they try to create a listing? Or are you referring to a scenario where the vendor hasn’t updated their profile yet but wants to add a listing by syncing the vendor data from another listing they previously created?
Hi, the seller has already filled out his profile also indicating the fields that should be synchronized. As soon as he try to insert his advert, the fields are synchronized the first time but if he want to insert another one the fields are returned empty and the only way to make everything work again is to enter his profile and update it, even without changing anything.

Alternatively I would have thought of using a snippet to run on the New Listing (completed) page which automatically updates the user’s profile without changing any fields. Can you provide me with a snippet like this?
thank you

Hi,
We checked this issue from our side, and it seems okay. Please make sure you have the latest version of HivePress 1.7.10.
Ok thanks, but I still have this problem. I have already installed the latest version 1.7.10 but I still have the same problem. I would solve it if I could have a snippet that allows me to update the vendor profile automatically when opening the New Listing page (completed)
Thank you
I would be very grateful if you could help me

Hi,

Hi, do you have any news?
I believe that one method to solve this could be to have the “add new listing” page loaded by default with the select listing category set to the category equivalent to the vendor’s category.
E.g.: if the vendor is a Motorcycle rental agency, the “Add new listing” page loads with the default Moto Listing category
Hi,
We have tested in more detail, and it seems that the attributes function does not work correctly if both vendor and listing attributes are restricted for categories; we plan to fix this bug as soon as possible. If you need this feature urgently, please let us know and we will try to provide you with a temporary fix.
Temporary fix would be much appreciated
Thanks
I am also much interested in this.
I don’t really see the point of selecting a category for a new listing.
At least it should be possible to preselect the default category of the listing based on the vendor’s category.
Unfortunately, so far, I haven’t been able to sync the listing’s category with the vendor’s.
I have some urgency
Thanks
