Hey,
How do I get the ‘Sign In’ link in the header menu like is shown in the demo?
Hi,
You first need to install the theme and import the demo content; please see this documentation:
Then this button will be displayed by default. Also, make sure that Allow user registration is enabled in HivePress > Settings > Users.
I hope this is helpful to you.
Thanks, I did those things initially, but I also created my own menu so it looks like this and maybe I messed it up:
Whereas doing a fresh jobhive install with demo content has the Sign In button and looks like the following. How should I edit this default menu? I’m not seeing anything in the menus or widgets that are responsible for this menu?
Maybe it was a cache issue, but looks good now. However, the ‘Post a Job’ button doesn’t do anything unless I’m signed in? Can you please tell me why it isn’t redirecting to the Sign In page or how to fix it?
Hi,
You can customize menus using this doc: How to customize menus - HivePress Help Center
Yes, the Post a Job button should redirect to the logging page, just like in the demo version: https://jobhive.hivepress.io. Please disable third-party plugins and customizations (if there are any) and check if this issue persists. If you use a caching plugin, make sure that caching is disabled for logged-in users. If this issue exists, please contact your hosting provider as they may block such requests.
