If I update theme, will it affect to my website?

Hello,

I saw that new version of hivepress is available. I have big base of listings and clients so I am wondering if I update theme, will it affect to my website? To be precise, can I mess up something?

Hi! Updating Listing Hive theme, will don’t change any core (HivePress) files, listings, users or database. The only one risk is, if you have a lot of customizations, snippets (css and php) in your main theme, and not using child theme, you will losing your customizations. If you have custom created language file, download that.

P.s.: Security first! Use WordPress Staging, and you can test every plugin/theme update on that staging website, before going to live, and never forget to create a backup before an important update/change.
