Hi.
I dont know why, but lot of pictures are not cropped + displayed correctly, which leads to different imagesizes in the gallery which looks quite bad.

The reason isnt plugins, this also shows up will all plugins disabled. Any idea/fix?

Please try adjusting the image size/cropping rules in Settings/Media. You can choose the cropping position, max width and height there. Then you can try re-uploading an image or use the Regenerate Thumbnails plugin.
