Before releasing any new plugins, I’m currently in the process of going back through all of my old custom extensions for HivePress in order to improve the code and (hopefully) squash all of the remaining bugs, etc. - Anyway, I’m excited to announce the release of a brand new version of the Menu Enhancer for HivePress - completely rewritten from the ground up!
I took the core concept of the original idea and borrowed what worked from the first plugin, and ditched the overcomplication and fragile codebase. The new version is far more stable and enhanced with various new features to help make your WooCommerce pages feel native to your site, and to any site using HivePress!
By default, HivePress shows the WooCommerce Orders page inside its own account layout, but the other WooCommerce account pages (Dashboard, Addresses, Payment methods, Account details, Downloads) still fall back to the plain WooCommerce layout with a different sidebar. This plugin brings them all into one consistent account area - and then hands you full control over the menu itself.
Features:
One account layout - Renders the remaining WooCommerce account pages inside the HivePress account template, so every account page shares the same sidebar instead of jumping between two different looks.
Merged menus - Optionally lists the WooCommerce links in the HivePress menu and the HivePress links in the WooCommerce menu, so both always match wherever they appear.
Icons & colours - Assign any of the 1,000 Font Awesome icons bundled with HivePress to any menu item, each with an optional colour, using the native HivePress icon picker.
Custom menu items - Add your own links (a page, a HivePress page, a WooCommerce endpoint, or any URL) with a label, icon, colour, position, menu targeting, and per-role visibility.
Hide any item - Remove any HivePress or WooCommerce menu item you don’t want shown.
Counters - Mirrors the HivePress menu counters (like unread messages) across into the WooCommerce menu.
Menu styling - Set the menu item font weight, hide your theme’s navigation arrows, and hide the large page header on WooCommerce account pages so they feel native.
All settings now live under HivePress → Settings → Account Menu. The WooCommerce options only appear when WooCommerce is active, so it’s perfectly happy on HivePress-only sites too. Requires HivePress; WooCommerce is optional.

Your settings survive a delete - removing the plugin no longer wipes your icons, colours and custom items. A tickbox under Removing the Plugin is the only thing that erases them, and its default is off unless you turn it on.

Internal naming - the plugin’s class and one config file now carry a unique prefix so they can never clash with HivePress or a future official extension. Your saved settings are untouched.
Consistent plugin details - the author and plugin link on the Plugins screen now match the rest of my extensions.
Icon Spacing - One setting for the gap between a menu icon and its wording. Leave it empty and the gap scales with your theme text size, exactly as before.

Every Menu Item Can Be Hidden Now - Items added by other plugins were missing from Hidden Items. WooCommerce Subscriptions is the clearest case: its link exists only for somebody who actually has a subscription, so building the list for an administrator who had none left you unable to hide something your members could see plainly. Items registered only on the front end, including my own Notifications for HivePress, were missing for the same reason.
Icon Spacing Actually Applies - Themes and site customisers style these icons with more specific rules and simply outranked the setting, and it only ever moved the icons this plugin draws. A spacing you type now applies to every item in the account menu.
A Styling Row With No Icon Is No Longer Lost - If you set only a text colour, and the extension providing that menu item was switched off, saving the tab silently dropped the row for good while the screen said your settings had saved.
Delete All Data Clears The Rest - The icon spacing setting and the record of seen menu items were being left behind.
No More False “Could Not Reach GitHub”, and update checks no longer hold up the Plugins screen.
Rolls up 3.0.0 to 3.3.9, including the merge of Persistent Account Menu for HivePress.
New
Persistent Account Menu Is Now Built In - Everything that extension did is now part of this one: chosen menu items stay visible even when their pages are empty. Its settings are carried over automatically, so it can simply be deactivated and deleted.
Live Preview With Drag Ordering - The settings tab shows your real account menu and you drag items into the order you want. The order applies to the HivePress dropdown, the HivePress sidebar and the WooCommerce sidebar alike.
Placeholder Pages - Each empty account page gets its own icon, message, button label and button URL, so it explains itself and points somewhere useful.
Custom Menu Items - Your own links with per-role visibility, plus icon size, icon weight, an icon background colour, and a Sidebar Menu Font setting that applies your theme’s Heading Font.

One WooCommerce Integration Switch - The two old checkboxes have become one. It is on for you if either of the old pair was on.
The Order Box Has Gone From Custom Items - Dragging the preview says the same thing in front of the menu it changes. A number you set before still applies until you drag that item.
Fixed
A custom item dragged to the top of the menu no longer saves to the very bottom.
Web addresses containing an encoded character, such as a space written as %20, are no longer damaged when saved. Re-save any that stopped working.
A damaged Hidden Items setting no longer takes the whole site down with a critical error.
An account menu whose first item links to another website no longer sends visitors to the WordPress dashboard.
The settings tab now works when opened from the HivePress menu without picking a tab first.
Also Hidden From The WooCommerce Menu - A new setting that takes a menu item out of the WooCommerce account menu while leaving it in the HivePress one. Hidden Items is unchanged and still hides from both, so nothing you have already saved behaves differently.

A New Menu Item Lands Where It Belongs - An item that appears after you have arranged your menu now takes the position its own extension gives it, instead of being added below everything you arranged. Your own arrangement is unchanged.
Internal tidying with nothing to see: the settings screen was being sent a copy of your saved arrangement that nothing used.

Placed Orders Is No Longer Stuck At The Bottom - HivePress adds that item to the account menu once a member has an order, and on a site with an arranged menu it was pushed to the very end. The same applies to Subscriptions.
Placed Orders And Subscriptions Now Appear In The Live Preview - They were missing whenever the WooCommerce integration was switched off, so the preview disagreed with the menu your members actually saw. Both can now be dragged wherever you want them.
The Preview Names Items The Way Your Site Does - It was showing “Orders (WooCommerce)”, the wording from the settings dropdowns, where members see “Placed Orders”. The two menus can name the same page differently, and the preview now follows each one.
The Changelog Is Readable Again - Older entries have moved to changelog.txt, which ships with the plugin. WordPress only shows the first 5,000 characters of a changelog on the update screen, and this one had grown well past it, so recent releases were being cut off before you could read them. Nothing has been removed.

Counters Sit Beside Their Item - The unread counters in the account menus now keep a small, even distance from the wording they belong to. In menus your theme lays out as a row the counter was pushed to the far right, away from its own item, and in the account dropdown it sat flush against the last letter. Both now match the spacing HivePress uses itself.
Every Font Awesome icon - All 1,918 free icons are now available wherever you pick one, brand icons included, and the boxes search as you type rather than listing them all at once.

No font to download - Menu icons are now drawn from the icon’s own shape instead of being loaded as a font, so your visitors download nothing extra for them, and your icon colour, size, weight, spacing and background settings all work exactly as before.
A lighter plugin - The bundled copy of Font Awesome has gone, and the one that remains is shared with my other plugins and loads only in the admin, so running several of them costs one copy rather than several.

A link that another plugin adds to the WooCommerce account menu but that is not an account page no longer appears in your HivePress account menu, which is where User Switching’s “Switch back to …” was turning up mid-switch.
Choosing an icon for one item no longer changes other items’ icons when you save, and a newly picked icon now shows correctly on its card straight away. Both were faults in 3.4.0, which was withdrawn within the hour; if you installed it and any of your icons changed, set those rows back and save once.
