By default, if users perform some action by themselves they don’t get a notification about this, but we’ll consider adding new email types for this. If you mean the user making a request, they see the “Thank you, your request has been received…” page after they confirm the booking request so the email notification is not sent. At the same time, the host is notified via email about a new request, and if the request is accepted/declined, the user is notified about the request status change.
