Payout request and negative balance

Hello HivePress Community,

Thanks to the Marketplace extension, our platform allows vendors to request payouts for either a portion or the entire amount of their earnings from sales. However, I’ve encountered an issue where vendors can request a payout that exceeds their current balance. For example, a vendor with a balance of €2.62 (as shown in the “Euro Balance” screenshot) can request a payout of €3.00 (refer to the “Payout Request” screenshot).

This leads to situations where vendors end up with negative balances (illustrated in the “Negative Balance” screenshot).

I am looking for a solution to prevent vendors from making payout requests that exceed their available balance. Ideally, the system should automatically limit payout requests to the amount present in the vendor’s balance, thus avoiding the creation of negative balances.

Could you provide guidance or suggest any settings or customizations within the HivePress Marketplace extension that could help resolve this issue?

Please provide more details, specifically which payout method you are using, so that we can check this issue in detail. Also, please make sure that you have configured payouts correctly, you can check this doc How to set up payouts - HivePress Help Center
