Phone Field under user attributes still is required even after filling it
I have the same issue and pulling my hair off! → With the latest HP version.
EDIT: I think it fixed itself after some time. Maybe there was some HP cache that cleaned that out.
EDIT2: The issue is here again
Could you please provide the exact steps to reproduce the issue so we can test it on our side? Does the issue occur for all users, both existing and newly registered ones?
Additionally, could you let us know which version of HivePress, WordPress, and PHP you’re currently using? Are there any console errors?
The more details you can share, the faster we’ll be able to identify the issue and provide a solution.
Hey kseniia,
i have opened separate thread for this one, but it turned out to be a browser-cache issue after updating the HP version to the latest.

Thanks for the update.
@tlmakiwa, please check Ivan’s linked topic to see if the issue can be related to caching.
I’m experiencing an issue with HivePress attributes for phone numbers. Previously, I could easily copy and paste a phone number into the phone field, but now that’s no longer possible—I can only type it in manually. Additionally, even after submitting the listing and having the admin approve/publish it, the phone number doesn’t appear on the front-end display at all.I’ve double-checked all my attribute settings (editing, display areas, format, etc.), and everything seems configured correctly. This problem started right after I updated to the latest version of HivePress.Has anyone else run into this? Any suggestions or fixes to get pasting working again and make the number show properly on published listings? Thanks for any help!
Hi @dikkas,
Could you please let us know what the previous version of HivePress was before you updated to the latest one? If the previous version was 1.7.21 and the current is 1.7.22, this shouldn’t be due to the update, since the recent update wasn’t related to phone attributes.
Have you tried testing with third-party plugins and customizations disabled to see if the issue persists? Also, please try purging and clearing all cache (in plugins, hosting, and browser) to see if it affects how the attribute is displayed, as Ivan mentioned earlier in this topic, that in his case, it was a caching issue: Phone Field Validation Broken in 1.7.22 - Affects Registration & Profile Update[RESOLVED]
Please let me know if the issue persists.
I don’t recall the exact previous version of HivePress—this is my first update in about a year. I just finished purging and clearing all cache (including plugin, server, and transients), but the problem hasn’t gone away. I don’t believe it’s browser-specific on my end because users from various locations are reporting the same thing: after listing an item or product, their phone number doesn’t appear/ show up anywhere on the site.The issue is persistent across the board for everyone.Additionally, I can’t log in to my own account using any Chromium-based browsers (such as Microsoft Edge, Epic Browser, Chrome, Chromium, or Comodo Dragon)—the login just fails or loops. However, I can log in quickly and without issues using Mozilla Firefox. My users aren’t facing this login problem right now, but it’s really frustrating that I’m dealing with it personally. Any ideas on next steps?
Thanks for the details.
Please send temporary WP access to support@hivepress.io with the link to this topic, and we’ll check it (please send only the link, without login and password). You can create a temporary access link using this about:blank.
Alright, I have sent the link for the temporal WP access now.
Hi, I just cleared my browser cache and cookies, tried again, and now it’s working perfectly. It started displaying the correct number right after another admin approved and published a listed item. That confirmed the issue was on my end with the browser cache.
On the Wordpress dashboard, i pressed CTRL+SHIFT+DELETE on the keyboard. It displays the ”Clear browsing data and cookies” then i only cleared everything on: “Cookies and site data“ and “Temporary cached files and pages“
Thanks so much for your help!
Glad that the issue is resolved.
Wishing you a relaxing weekend. ![]()
Could you please let me know if it’s possible to get assistance from the HivePress team (or recommendations for custom development) to implement the following features on my website:
-
Identity verification for users (e.g., KYC-style ID upload and approval process);
-
A sign-up bonus of ₦100 for new users upon registration;
-
Referral links for user sign-ups, where the referrer earns rewards;
-
A 5% commission reward paid to users who refer someone that subscribes to a premium service or paid plan;
-
Display of a referral balance on each user’s profile page (showing their earned commissions or rewards).
I’d appreciate any guidance on whether these can be added natively, via extensions, or through custom code/development. Thank you!
Hi,
Some of what you’re looking for can be achieved through custom implementation, while for other features you might want to consider looking for third-party plugins.
Since we have full integration with WooCommerce, you can check if WooCommerce has an affiliate plugin, that would be a good starting point for the affiliate functionality. You can also consider using third-party platforms like Tapfiliate or similar services.
Regarding identity verification, you could consider reaching out to our verified experts for custom development [Customize your website | HivePress], or explore third-party plugins (though integration with HivePress would likely be needed).
Please let me know if you have any more questions.
