# Remove categorie to the sidebar in requests page

Bonjour,

Sur ma page demande (requests) j’ai une barre de recherche avec mots clés et recherche d’une catégorie. Cependant sur la Sidebar à gauche il y a encore les catégories avec les attributs. J’ai essayer tous les code possibles pour enlever les catégories du Sidebar je n’arrive pas. Et quand je vais dans apparence widgets, il n’y a rien dans ma Sidebar rquests. Je suis une débutante dans la construction de site web donc si quelques peut m’aider se serait vraiment gentil.

Hello,

On the **Requests Archive Page** (I am using Requests, not Listings), I want to use the Sidebar Filter. I need to **hide/remove** the default “Categories” field (since users already select a category in the header search) . I only want to keep my custom attribute in the sidebar.

**The Problem:** I cannot get rid of the “Categories” and “Budget” fields in the sidebar.

**What I have tried (without success):**

1. **CSS:** I tried `display: none` on `.hp-form__field--categories` and `.widget_hivepress_request_categories`. It works on the top search bar but NOT in the sidebar.

2. **PHP:** I tried the `hivepress/v1/forms/request_filter` hook to unset the fields. It didn’t work.

3. **Elementor:** I tried creating a Template for Requests Archive, but I couldn’t customize the Listing Filter widget to remove these specific fields.

Could you please provide a snippet or a solution to force-hide the Categories and Budget from the Requests Sidebar?

Thanks for sharing the link!

In the backend of WordPress visit Appearance \> Customise \> Additional CSS and try pasting in the following:

```auto
.hp-template--requests-view-page .hp-form __field.hp-form__ field--radio {
    display: none;
}

.hp-template--requests-view-page .hp-form __field.hp-form__ field--number-range {
    display: none;
}

```

This removes _(hides)_ the category selection and budget field in the sidebar, and the code is scoped to only remove the field from this page, so it won’t break other HivePress forms. 🙂
