Requests not getting published — issue with custom redirect code

Hello,

I’m experiencing an issue where requests are not being published on my website. When users click the “Submit request” button, I have added a custom snippet so the page redirects to a custom URL, but the request is never actually created — it doesn’t appear on the front end or in the WordPress backend.

The redirect code I’m using:

What I’ve tested:

  • Tested WITH the redirect code — requests don’t get published

  • Tested WITHOUT the redirect code — I get redirected to my request : request get published

Current setup:

  • HivePress Memberships extension installed

  • Experthive

  • Other hivepress plugins

I would appreciate any guidance on resolving this issue.

Hi,

Yes, unfortunately it’s not possible to set a redirect this way because adding a request is a multi-step flow, and it should end for a request to be published.

Please describe the desired result and I’ll try to provide guidance, for example if it’s a custom landing page you want users to land at the end of the process, I highly recommend overriding the “Add Request (Completed)” template in HivePress/Templates (there’s the same editor as for regular pages), the result would be the same. Thank you for your reply. I understand the problem now.
Can you please tell me if I can use the page of a page builder (elementor or breakdance) for these templates ? This would be my selling page so I want it to look good.

Templates were developed based on the core WordPress editor, but using Elementor may work in this case since this template doesn’t require any specific blocks. Please try creating a template for “Add Request (Completed)” in HivePress/Templates first and save changes, then you can check if its content actually replaces the last page of the request publication, and finally, you can edit it with Elementor – it should still replace the default page content.

Thanks for your reply. I’m afraid I have created template for Requests (completed) but it doesn’t work. I have uninstalled most plugins and it still doesn’t work.
It works for Requests (details) but not for Completed.
It takes me to https://louerunperenoel.com/request/test/
Please help.

Also, please make sure that the Manually approve new requests option is enabled in HivePress > Settings > Requests > Moderation, and that your custom snippet is disabled.
