Hi, I’ve added an image to the homepage, it renders correctly on the desktop, but the image is very large in the mobile view. I’ve tried changing in image size via wordpress > media > library > edit image > new dimensions. Changes to the size and scale here did not resolve the issue.

Please clarify which image you mean, is in inserted to the page content? ExpertHive has no header image background option by default, but it has a feature that shows 3 images with parallax effect like on the theme demo.
