Restrict Tags to Predefined Options

Hi HivePress team,

I’m using the ExpertHive theme and would like to restrict users from creating new tags. Instead, I want them to only be able to select from a predefined list of tags that I’ve already set up.

Currently, I can’t find a setting within HivePress to enforce this. Is there a way to achieve this functionality, either natively or with a workaround? If not, could you recommend any plugins or custom code snippets that would allow me to achieve this?

Hi,

Please note that the purpose of the Tags extension is that they are user-defined (i.e. if users, for example, understand better what keywords they will search for), and if you do not need user input, we recommend simply adding a select attribute.
