Hello HivePress community, I’m building a service marketplace using **TaskHive + HivePress Requests**. In my use case, users submit service requests, and I want to **control which vendors can see and respond to each request** , instead of showing every request to all vendors. ### My requirement: - Each request should be visible to **only a limited number of vendors (e.g. 10)** - Vendors should be **eligible** based on: The goal is to achieve a **fair distribution of requests over time** , so the same vendors don’t respond to every request. I understand there is no built-in “rotation” feature, but I’d like to implement this behavior via: - Request visibility rules - Conditional offer submission - Hooks or filters ### My questions: 1. What is the recommended way to **restrict request visibility** for vendors in HivePress Requests? 2. Are there any hooks or filters available to conditionally allow vendors to view/respond to requests? 3. Has anyone implemented a similar **limited visibility / fair distribution** approach? Hi, Regarding the first request: this can be handled with the Memberships extension. In this case, simple registration will not be enough. You can restrict access in several ways for vendors, either with free or paid plans, for example, limit access to certain pages, restrict the number of offers or messages, or hide specific request attributes (such as contact details) until a membership plan is active. For the remaining requests, custom development will be required. Technically, this can be done by customizing the requests query, for example using the `pre_get_posts` hook to modify the `WP_Query`. As one possible approach, if vendors specify their location in an attribute or a location field, you could filter the requests query by this location so that vendors only see relevant requests. The same general approach can be applied to other criteria as well. Overall, the concept is to customize the underlying `WP_Query`, but the exact implementation will depend on the specific criteria you want to apply and will require additional research and development work.
