I think I’ve got ExpertHive and HivePress working the way I want in my dev sandbox (local docker setup).
When I add HivePress to my live site (copied locally as well), I see the Sign In / User Menu in the Header Nav. When I activate ExpertHive, the menu disappears.
I see in class-template.php that the menu items are being added to the hook, but I can’t figure out why the awesome menu thing isn’t showing up?
Please disable third-party plugins and customizations (if there are any) and check if this issue persists. If you use a caching plugin, ensure that caching is disabled for logged-in users.
I did disable all plugins (except Elementor and the HivePress plugins), and no child-themes are running.
Maybe a question: Is ExpertHive compatible with Elementor? When I edit a page with Elementor, I can edit the header which is where the Menu is selected. What’s weird is that the Elementor setup remains the same no matter which theme is selected, and HivePress can inject correctly when a non-HivePress theme is used. It’s just ExpertHive that I think I have the issues with.
We currently don’t 100% support Elementor - while you can add HivePress blocks via Elementor, advanced features are not available yet. I highly recommend using the core WordPress block editor to keep the website fast and lightweight.
