This probably should fall into the feature request category; one of my potential customers would love the ability to add a “sold” badge to a listing that has sold but still wants to keep on the site. The badge could appear either in the title or over the first image in the gallery. I don’t suppose there’s currently a way to do this, is there?

Sorry, there’s no simple code snippet for this, it would require custom implementation. The easiest way would be to add a custom Checkbox attribute and set a custom display format: <img src="badge URL here">. Then please try to add the custom badge to the listing template.
