# The booking cannot be made if someone try to book "today" date from the calendar

Hi, for the hivepress bookings when user select the date of today (the current date of making the booking) he gets The booking cannot be made message, is there a way around this to allow the today date for booking? as its available to be selected on the calendar, if the logic to not allow user to book the today date then it would be better to disable it on the calendar. - this causing a serious bug, as if the user tried to previously book available dates, and then tried to book another listing for the today date the next page will proceed booking on the previous attempt of the available booking date. ( possibly a cache issue )

Hey,

I’m not HivePress staff, and I don’t currently use the Bookings extension. But, I think I’ve read elsewhere that you/end-users need to click the date twice to set it as the start and end date. Apologies if I’ve got this wrong. I hope this is useful! 🙂

same issue.  
if i try to book for the same day, last minute booking, it does not work.  
it would be good to allow this and also to have function to give Special Discount for Last Minute Booking

Hi,

1. Please navigate to WP Dashboard \> WooCommerce \> Status \> Tools \> and click Create pages opposite Create default WooCommerce pages.
2. ​Please edit this listing (either on the front-end or back-end) and re-save it, setting the Price. This should generate a hidden product for a listing (or package\request), and the checkout redirect should be okay.
3. Please refresh permalinks; you can check this doc: [How to refresh WordPress permalinks - HivePress Help Center](https://help.hivepress.io/article/165-how-to-refresh-wordpress-permalinks)
4. Also, please make sure you set up payments correctly; you can check this doc [How to start accepting payments - HivePress Help Center](https://help.hivepress.io/article/146-how-to-set-up-payments)
5. If this issue exists, please disable third-party plugins and customizations (if there are any) and check if this issue persists. If you use a caching plugin, ensure that caching is disabled for logged-in users.

i fixed it for any one interested:  
1- go to the /wp-content/plugins/hivepress-bookings/includes/components/class-booking.php  
2- find

```auto
public function get_shifted_time( $listing, $time, $old_timezone = 'UTC' ) {
		// Check settings.
		if ( ! $this->is_time_enabled( $listing ) ) {
			return $time;
		}

```

and change it to

```auto
public function get_shifted_time( $listing, $time, $old_timezone = 'UTC' ) {
		// Check settings.
		if ( ! $this->is_time_enabled( $listing ) ) {
			return $time >= time();
		}

```

save and close.

3- go to /wp-content/plugins/hivepress-bookings/includes/controllers/class-booking.php  
4- find

```auto
if ( $start_time && $end_time && $end_time >= $start_time && $start_time > hivepress()->booking->get_shifted_time( $listing, time() ) ) {

```

and change it to

```auto
if ( $start_time && $end_time && $end_time >= $start_time && $start_time >= hivepress()->booking->get_shifted_time( $listing, time() ) ) {

```

save and test your booking for current day and others
