The "job" listing URL slug is changed to "listing"

Also seen in the change in name from jobs to Listings in the WP admin menu.
How do I change /listings back to /jobs as this is much better for SEO?

Following an update you have changed the url structure for Job Hive.

I now have hundreds of urls that have changed overnight which is causing carnage with Google and indexing them.

For the last two years a single job posting has been:

https://winejobs.uk /job/ senior-brand-manager-french-london

It has suddenly changed to:

https://winejobs.uk /listing/ senior-brand-manager-french-london

A single company listing was:

https://winejobs.uk /company/ ocado/

It is now:

https://winejobs.uk /vendor/ ocado/

It’s not clear to me which fields I should be changing here to get them back to what they originally were:

Hi,

Please provide more information on when these changes were made, as we have been releasing updates that could not have caused these changes. Also, you may have switched the theme to JobHive, in which case such changes may have occurred. As a workaround, I recommend changing these links manually using the documentation above.

I’ve been using Job Hive for nearly two years on one site and 9 months on another site.

Both sites have been impacted by the same issue. I have not switched the theme in all this time.

I have contacted another one of your customers who uses Job Hive and he has confirmed he is seeing the same issue.

You have changed the word “job” and “jobs” and “company” and "companies in Job Hive in the last two weeks with one of your updates.

This has impacted several areas including the WP Admin Dashboard.

Here you can see “Jobs” and “Companies” from a screenshot I took a few months ago:

Here you can see they have been replaced by the words “Listing” and “Vendor”:

Whatever Hivepress has done has changed all of my (and for all other Job Hive customers) individual job urls and individual company urls overnight with no warning.

This impacts about 500 links for me.

I’ve lost traffic as a result as all 500 of these pages are having to be reindexed.

Why has this happened and why were we not given any notice about it?

Sorry for the inconvenience. We tested this in more detail and found a bug. Our developers are working on a fix, which we plan to release today.

Every software has bugs after updates, and we are no exception, as we cannot test absolutely everything. Therefore, we recommend that you report them on the forum or by mail, and we will resolve them as soon as possible.
