Translate backend menu items

Thanks for the great software.

How do I translate the menu items in the wordpress console to another language?

Is it possible with loco translate?

This isn’t really a HivePress-specific question, more WordPress, but anyway…

Plugins like Admin Menu Editor or White Label CMS allow you to customise the WordPress admin menu without coding. As for as I know Loco Translate is more-so about translating static plugin/theme text.

Note: I haven’t tried Admin Menu Editor or White Label CMS, but that’s the kind of thing I think you’re looking for.

Thanks for the reply and for reminding me about the white label plugin.

These menu items are created by plugins from HivePress. Some are translated into the installed system language, some are only in English.

In that case, yes, using Loco Translate will work. I accidentally renamed a backend menu item myself. Just search the term you’re looking to replace as usual.
