Newbie here. I extracted data from outscraper. There is a URL column that says ‘photo’. Is there a way to convert this photo so that I can load it into hivepress? I’ve tried external websites to turn it into an image, I haven’t had any luck. Is there any way that I will be able to use these images? I can’t seem to find any information on this topic.
You need a corresponding column in your CSV file that contains the image URLs. Please note that the URLs should point directly to the image files and end with an extension such as .jpg, .png, or a similar image format.
If you want to import the images directly and assign them to listings, our importer is the simplest option.
Alternatively, you can use a third-party importer such as WP All Import, which allows you to manually map the image fields during the import process. If you first want to upload the images to the WordPress Media Library and then assign them to listings, you can use an importer that supports importing media from URLs or attaching existing media files to imported listings.
Thank you! I did purchase your importer. I thought it would resolve my issue, but I’m learning that isn’t the case. My data file just has a URL, but not a .jpg. Do you know if there is a way to convert the URL to a jpg? I’m currently using outscraper to get my data from google. If not, do you have any recommendations on how/where I can get company images for my directory? Thanks again!
At the moment, our Import plugin allows you to upload images from links that point directly to image files with a specific extension, such as .jpg or .png, rather than from general URLs.
I would suggest checking WP All Import. I believe their free tier should allow you to import images from URLs. You will need to map the fields manually, so please note that HivePress listings are stored as the hp_listing post type.
Please let me know if you need further assistance.
