In the next update , I beg the hivepress team to implement the Ability to shift the positions of listings.. Eg: I can move an old listing to the top of the listing page or bring it back to the New listings tap.
Hi,
Thanks for the feature suggestion.
Could you please share how you see this working and what criteria should be used? Any additional details about your use case would be very helpful.
At the moment, listings can be sorted by title, price, date, and certain types of custom fields that are marked as sortable. You can also feature listings to make them appear at the top of the page. If you’re referring to listing blocks on the homepage (for example, recent listings), you can control their visibility by displaying only featured or verified listings, which you, as an admin, can define.
sure i am very much aware of the “featured” option to make listing blocks appear at the top of the site. But in my case i don’t wan to feature before it appears at the top, i want to voluntarily place old listings which are always at the bottom of the page at the top without using the Featured option.
Thanks for the details.
By default, listings are sorted by date, so you can simply update a listing’s publish date to move it higher in the list.
If the actual dates are not important for your use case, you may also consider simplifying things by using a drag-and-drop sorting plugin, such as Post Types Order, which allows you to manually reorder listings.
Hope this helps.
