Add slider to listing in home page

Hi,
I am using listing hive and I want to do two things to my featured listings. Firstly add buttons to the images, and secondly have the featured listings slide right and left on the home page - as seen in lushspot.pl. Please let me know if this is possible with listing hive.

Hi,

Please note that the client uses the RentalHive premium theme on this site, which has an available slider for listings. As for ListingHive, there is no such functionality, so this will require a custom implementation. If you need this functionality, I recommend that you consider purchasing the RentalHive theme.

Hi Andrii,

Many thanks for the prompt reply. I have put a lot of work into adding listings to listing hive and making changes to the search button. If I were to purchase rental hive would I have to start all over again? I don’t want to have to redo all the listings etc?

HI,

If you mean site data, such as listings, users, etc., and not customization of the ListingHive theme itself with code, then this will all be saved after switching the theme if you install it in Appearance > Themes. However, before major changes, we always recommend making a backup of the site, for example, using this plugin: UpdraftPlus: WP Backup & Migration Plugin – WordPress plugin | WordPress.org

Yes that does help - thanks very much. I will back up the site and then upgrade to Hivepress rental. By the way I really enjoyed using listing hive - very intuitive.

Hi Andrii,

I have upgraded to retail hive. On listing hive my featured listings only appeared on my home page, and also appeared on top of other listings on the listing pages. This is not happening on rental hive and I have seen a notice as follows “ Your site doesn’t include support for the

“hivepress/feature” block You can leave it as-is or…”

How can I get back my featured listings back on home page.

I solved it by ticking featured listings only on the carousel block.

On the listing page and all other pages how can I get the featured listings on top and the others below?

Hi,

Please note that the selected listings always fill the featured slots at the top of the list. You can configure how many slots will be allocated in HivePress > Settings > Listings.

Thank you Andrii. I adjusted the settings on hivepress and it worked. What is meant by the term related listings per page on hivepress settings? …I don’t know what it means and so am unsure what to set it to?

Hi,

Related listings are listings with almost identical or similar listings (for example, if this listing shows an apartment for rent, then related listings will also show similar listings with apartment rentals).
