Allow users to decline or counter offers

Hi HivePress Dev Team,

I’m writing to request some additional features to enhance the offer process on my HivePress site. Specifically, I’d like to propose the following:

  • Decline Offer: Add a button to decline an offer directly from the offer notification or offer management page.

  • Make a Counter Offer: Introduce a feature to enable users to make a counter offer in response to an initial offer. This could include a field to input a counter offer price and a text box to provide a reason for the counter offer.

  • Reason for Decline/Counter Offer: Include a text box to provide a reason for declining an offer or making a counter offer. This would facilitate communication between parties and help build trust in the negotiation process.

These features would streamline the negotiation process, reduce back-and-forth communication, and improve the overall user experience.

Hi,

This feature is not currently included in the official roadmap. For now, the only option is to decline the offer and select the one that suits you best. However, we are considering adding a counteroffer feature to the roadmap, along with the possibility to update the counteroffer until it is accepted.

How do you decline the offer, there are no buttons to do this.

Sorry for the wrong phrasing. Currently, the decline works in a way that you choose the offer that is most suitable for you. So, in other words, decline is no action.

OK, thank you. How does the vendor get notified that the offer has been accepted?
