It would be nice if you could allow us to select an option where by enabling it would make it so that only verified clients/guests/users of a vendor can leave reviews for that vendor, rather than anyone who joins the site.
I think it would go a long way in helping establish trust in the online communities we build which is obviously necessary for their success. Confirming a user is a verified client could be done by:
allowing vendors the option of marking users as verified clients which then enables them to leave a review.
depending on use-case of the site, if payment occurs between vendors and end users, obviously you can tap into that to confirm they’re verified.

You can enable the Restrict reviews to buyers feature in HivePress > Settings > Orders (this will also work for bookings). However, if you mean that when there was no online payment, and just manually allow to leave a review, then this would require a custom implementation
It’s good to hear this is already implemented, however, it appears to only be included in certain extensions?
I’m not currently using all of the extensions, and so, I don’t have HivePress > Settings > Orders available to me.
Therefore, I’d like to suggest adding this feature to the Memberships extension, or even in HivePress core under the ‘Vendor’ tab, too.
And, yes, I’m my current set-up, vendors and end users will handle payment off-site. So, in this scenario it would be nice if Vendors could check a box on each user’s profile, or enter their username somewhere in the backend which would then open up the opportunity for the user to leave a review. (It could even trigger sending an email to the user to ask them to leave a review) This would help guarantee reviews are only from verified customers.
I realise you said this would need custom implementation, but hopefully, enough others like the idea to help make it official!
I see. Currently, this is only possible with the Marketplace extension and Bookings payments. However, thank you for your feedback, we will consider adding this feature to Bookings, but please note that vendors will be able to generate fake users and assign them to reviews on their own, so the current feature with payments prevents fake users.
