Hi there,
I’m using TranslatePress to translate the website, and while it’s been working great for most content, there are two types of pages where it doesn’t. Namely, the translation editor doesn’t appear on certain pages of my HivePress-themed website. To be precise, the pages https://domain.com/?_sort=&s=&post_type=hp_listing&latitude=&longitude=&_region=&_category=36&location= and https://domain.com/submit-listing/details/ both don’t show the translation editor after clicking on the respective icon in the WordPress tab bar, even though the URL does append &trp-form-language=de (which is required to open the translation editor) as well as a the language subdirectory.
So I contacted the TranslatePress support and this is the result:
From the information provided, it appears that the parameters are overlapping in the URL structure you’re using for searching (?post_type=hp_listing), which is causing the issue you’re experiencing. Unfortunately, due to this overlap, the problem is likely to persist and cannot be fixed in future updates.
I recommend checking to see if your theme or plugin offers an alternative search feature or method that doesn’t rely on this specific URL structure. (maybe searching with Ajax), the use of a different search method might solve the issue.
How would I best go about this? Is the suggestion mentioned here capable of resolving my issue?
Thanks in advance
