Currently, for paid listings, only one package can be selected at the time of posting. Once that package is purchased, the listing is set to “featured” and highlighted for 7 days. However, users are often hesitant to pay upfront and may prefer to test the feature first. By offering lower-cost packages such as a 3-day feature option, we can lower the barrier to payment.
After experiencing the benefits of being featured, users may be more inclined to choose longer and slightly more expensive packages—such as a 14-day option with a discounted daily rate compared to the 3-day package. This approach can increase the overall effectiveness and revenue of paid listings.
In fact, many Japanese classified ad sites already offer similar functionality, allowing users to choose from durations like 1 day, 3 days, 7 days, and 14 days, each with different pricing. I would like to implement the same structure: let users try a low-cost featured listing first, and then choose a more premium package if they see the value.
Ideally, users should be able to choose from multiple feature durations at the time of purchasing a paid listing.
