Hello Sir,

I want to make a Member Directory as you explained here-- How to Create a WordPress Member Directory for Free

It is to be used to store information of the Men in my Church— because I manage Data of the Men’s Group.

The critical feature we are looking for, is that the Men need to feel loved and cared for.

So I need a way to wish each person "Happy Birthday ” on their Birthdays.

This is what necessitated me to want to make a website that allows them to Sign up and fill in their information, including their Birth Date.

After Signing up, they don’t engage with the website again, unless they want to change and update their information.

Or, except they just want to view information of other Members.

POSSIBLE SOLUTION FOR BIRTHDAY REMINDER
We could give each Member a small Form to fill.

Then extract the information and place them on an Excel Sheet.

Each day, I could check the Excel Sheet to know who has Birthday, then I can send an Email and a WhatsApp Message to that Member, wishing them "Happy Birthday“.

THE CHALLENGE
It’s too much work going through the Excel Sheet everyday.

EXPECTED SOLUTION
Because it’s too much work going through the Excel Sheet everyday, I wanted to Automate the process– by creating a website that allows the Members of the Men’s Group of my Church to come online and fill their Information through HivePress Sign Up Form.

When it’s then their Birthday, we want them to receive a Birthday notification from our website to their Email Address by 1am Local Time.

This Birthday Data will be pulled from the Birth Date that they filled, when they Signed up.

WHAT I’VE SEEN

The reason I’m considering HivePress is because Ultimate Member is full featured, and I’m looking for something with simplicity like HivePress.

MY QUESTION
1.) Can HivePress and ListingHive provide the functionality where Admin of my Member Directory created with HivePress can receive alert about Upcoming Birthdays a day before the time?

1b.) Can HivePress and ListingHive, send Birthday notification to the Emails of Members by any set time?

2.) PICTURE, NAME AND BIRTH DATE ONLY
I want the Member Profile to only show Photo, Name, Birth Date and Profession.

And for the Birth Date, I want only Day and Month to appear on the frontend. The Year should be hidden.

This means that I want to disable all Community Features like Friends, Message, Group creation and so on.

Members are only going to be able to register, fill in their information, and update their information.

Is it possible to show the Day and Month only, of the Birth Date without the Year on the frontend view possible with HivePress?

If you have a custom date attribute and you want to send emails based on it, unfortunately, there’s no such feature, it would require a custom implementation. If I use HivePress, I am going to have a date attribute called “Birthday”.

Then I want a PHP Code Snippet that will search this Date attribute everyday.

If it finds a date corresponding to that Date, it will send an Email to the Registered Email of my Members/Users whose Birthdate match that day.

This explanation above, is the Summary of all I want.

If HivePress published here ( How to Create a WordPress Member Directory for Free ) that we can use HivePress to create a Member Directory, I am of the opinion that the Member Directory is still not complete.

Birthday of Members is something that HivePress should consider, because people feel loved if we remeber their Birthdays.

HivePress needs to build this feature that I am asking for-- which allows the website Admin to automatically send Birthday Emails to Members on their Birthdays.

I have used Ultimate Member plugin to achieve what I want. It’s just small adjustments which remain, that I am sorting out with their Support Team.

Now, I really wished I used HivePress for this my Member Directory because:

1.) HivePress is simplistic, and I wanted something simple.

2.) I liked the flexibility of HivePress, in which we can add attributes to either the Primary or Secondary part of the Listing/Profile Cards.

This means that we can decide from the backend where each Data sits, and this is reflected beautifully on the frontend.

WHY I DIDN’T USE HIVEPRESS AND OPTED FOR ULTIMATE MEMBER
1.) The Birthday Email feature is a critical requirement of my Project. HivePress lacked this feature.

Now, Ultimate Member has the PHP Code Snippet for such feature.

Is it possible that HivePress can pick up that code, study it, modify and adapt it into the HivePress system, to make it available in HivePress?

2.) HivePress is still very minimal.

You see, Ultimate Member is a robust and large system. It’s so advanced in Member Directory features, insomuch that HivePress doesn’t come close.

WHY STILL BOTHER WITH HIVEPRESS?
I met HivePress when it started. I used it for one project when it started, and I liked it.

The thing is, I will be creating Member Directories as I pass through life.

I wouldn’t want my Member Directories to all look the same, if I keep using only Ultimate Member plugin for my Member Directories.

This is why I want HivePress to grow, expand and advance-- so that I can have a second option and alternative for Member Directory.

URGENT CALL
Please add this Birthday Email feature as soon as possible.

Then go to Ultimate Member features on its website: study its features, and add them as well to HivePress.

They are useful features for Member Directory, and they will also make HivePress a robust software in the long run.
