Booking reminder email bug

A Booking reminder email is sent to the user immediately after the email notification for accepted bookings.
It should only be sending reminders a day before the booking date of accepted or confirmed bookings.

Please describe the steps to reproduce the issue, does the booking you’ve tested has a start date at least +2 days from today?

Just tested it with 2+ day booking start date and it didn’t act the same way However am not even sure if the reminder will come till tomorrow.

So now that we are sure that it acts like this for same day and next day bookings, whats the fix ?

same day shouldn’t have reminders and next day reminder should come when its booked but not immediately after its been accepted

Please provide more details, such as your actions step by step so that we can reproduce the issue.

Same-day booking bug

  1. I request to book a listing for the same day and the vendor accepts it
  2. I get the email notification that my booking has been accepted and in roughly less than 30 seconds I get the reminder email also for the booking

Next Day booking bug

  1. I request to book a listing for the next day and the vendor accepts it
  2. I get the email notification that my booking has been accepted and in roughly less than 30 seconds I get the reminder email also for the booking

Expected results

Same day booking

  1. request to book a listing for the same day and the vendor accepts it
  2. I get the email notification that my booking has been accepted and I should not receive a reminder because the booking is for the same day

Next Day booking

  1. I request to book a listing for the next day and the vendor accepts it
  2. I get the email notification that my booking has been accepted and should get the reminder email for the booking probably early in the morning on the next day or roughly 6 hrs after the booking has been accepted

Another Discovery (Potential Bug)

As I already mentioned, I tested a 2+ days booking and a reminder did not come immediately after the booking was accepted like the above complaint therefore this bug applies to same-day and next-day bookings however I just noticed that I didn’t even get any reminder at all for the 2+ days booking which is another cause for concern.

Please can you explain what you mean by you tested it and it works correctly on your side? How did you code the reminder to work for same and next-day bookings?
