Can paid listings be recurring / a subscription?

Hello. I have some inquiries that i was hoping you could help me with.

  1. If I use Listinghive similarly to the demo, would I be able to create different packages based on categories. For instance, “Real Estate” would have its own packages, “For Sale” would have its own packages and “Services” would have its own packages. If not, is there a way that I can implement that feature in a way that if someone for example goes to post a Real Estate listing, they would be brought to the real estate packages (and the same for services and for sale)?

  1. Is there a way to implement a commission based system with Listinghive listings?

  2. Can paid listings be recurring / a subscription?

Hi,

  1. Yes, you can limit packages to categories by using the Paid Listings extension.

  2. This functionality is not available in the theme itself, it is available if you install the Marketplace extension.

  3. Unfortunately, no, this would require a custom implementation. However, please note that we are planning to release this feature in the Memberships extension, so we recommend considering purchasing it.

I appreciate your speedy reply. It definitely helps. I have a few more questions in response.

  1. Is it possible to structure things so that, the very first time someone posts either an item, real estate or service, its free for a period of time but after it expires it would have to be paid for?
  2. If i already have the marketplace extension for a diffent theme, do i have to buy a separate extension for this one? Is it possible to have paid listing for items and real-estate and have commission for services?
  3. When will the membership extension be released? What other features (if any) aside from subscriptions would this enable us to add to our platforms?

  1. There is no such feature by default, it will require a custom implementation. If you need customization, you can submit a request here: Customize your website | HivePress

  2. If by another theme you mean another website, then yes, you need to purchase another license, as you can only use one license on one domain.

  3. We plan to release it this quarter or next quarter. Features are released according to our Roadmap. The Memberships extension includes all the features from Paid Listings (only improved), and features from the previous version of the Memberships extension (you can restrict access to all listing pages (including search and category pages), single listing pages, or certain listing attributes. Also, you can restrict access to certain features, such as sending messages or submitting reviews).
