Cant translate after update?

Hello,

I am using loco translate and have translated hivepress and some plugins.

Custom location is selected.

After the last update, I have noticed that extensions like messages, reviews, requests have lost their translations.

I have deactivated the Loco plugin and activated again, have sincronized again the translations and have checked if the translation is in the custom location.

I am not able to translate it anymore and sync the translations.

Is there something more I could check to try to solve this?

thank you

Hi Rudy,
I think this is related to the newest WordPress update. Try to change location of the Loco file to the “System” (make backup before you do that) or roll back WordPress update to the previous version.

I’m facing the same problem.

I went a little further in the tests:

I deleted the translations and templates, and started from 0 for the theme and 1 plugin.

I tried to restructure the paths, but it didn’t work.
I’ve tried installing them in the System folder > it works, but in the event of an update everything will be lost.

What’s surprising is that this doesn’t apply to all plugins.

Is this linked to the WP update?

I chosed to roll back personnaly while we wait for the problem to be resolved.

I have the same problem but using the core rollback doesnt seem to work for me. Which version did you roll back to if I may ask? It shows im still at 6.7 after trying to rollback

Hello

WordPress 6.6.2

after clicking to rollback, you must then click on the 6.6.2 version. In my case there was the english version there to click

Hi,

We have checked this issue, and it is in the latest WordPress 6.7 update: #62337 (i18n: Translation is not applied in load_theme_textdomain() function) – WordPress Trac , Known issues with WordPress 6.7 | WordPress.org. If you can revert to the previous 6.6.2 version, we recommend doing so. If not, we recommend waiting for an update from WordPress. We will also test it in more detail and possibly provide an update before the WordPress update.

I hope this is helpful to you.
