"Category" field is required error or edit listing page

I kept getting this error when trying to edit the listing and save. I saw on another closed thread this is a known issue and suggested to create a common category.

Can we please elaborate a little more on the common category. I am using listinghive theme. Do I create a catgory under listing or standard wordpress page setting? Also, do I need to add anything to the form or php?

Thanks. I managed to solve it. It was relating to a demo post which I deleted the associated category.
