Change the type of field of categories in the filterable area

I am using the snippet shared in How to change categories field type in the filtrable zone - #5 by solanojosias5 and it is not working.
Can you support me on having the category as checkbox or radio buttons layout on the filter section?

Hi,

This snippet changes the type of selection category in the filter to select, and by default, the category selection in the filter works as a checkbox. If you mean multiple checkboxes, there is no such option.

On my site the snippet is not working and the select is the same as by the fault, can you check it?
