Creating the Database for a WordPress website

Hello Experts,

I am trying to get started with ListingHive

I have created a database in my http://localhost:8080/phpmyadmin

I have also downloaded the listinghive extension and in htdocs/ have a folder containing the files.

I am trying to create the database, and in the address bar I enter Localhost:8080/thefoldername which contains the site files.

This I think should allow me to create a phpMyAdmin database but I receive an error message instead;

Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Call to undefined function get_header() in C:\xampp\htdocs\wphive\index.php:1 Stack trace: #0 {main} thrown in C:\xampp\htdocs\wphive\index.php on line 1

Can anyone see where I am going wrong please?

I suggest you try using local by flywheel.

It will ease out the process of setting up a wordpress environment for you.

Then change theme to listinghive.

Please note that this is a server and WordPress-related issue that is not HivePress-specific. If you are not very familiar with server configuration, then I recommend installing everything through Local: Quick Start - HivePress Help Center

Yes I have lot to learn. Wordpress can be very impressive with the results but can be quite demanding at times.
