I’m trying to add a currency switcher to the site. Today I tested two currency switchers (Yay Currency and Fox Currency Switcher which I have running on another WP/WC site without issue). In both cases I have then registered test properties and added a price. When I then view this property the price is O (I enter 100)
I have switched of numerous plugins and the issue persists.
Steps to reproduce
List the steps to reproduce the issue.
If you register as a vendor and list a test property (the site is inactive right now and just putting it through its paces and developing it) then go to that test property you will see the price is showing as zero regardless of the price you entered

Unfortunately, there’s no such feature, it would require a custom implementation or the use of third-party plugins. It is possible to use this plugin WOOCS – Currency Switcher for WooCommerce Professional – WordPress plugin | WordPress.org or another currency switcher (e.g. YayCurrency Pro) plugin for WooCommerce. Please note we can’t guarantee 100% compatibility with third-party plugins, so some of them require custom implementation. Also, please check WooCommerce documentation or support to find up-to-date information on how to set up multicurrency on your website. But please note that these changes are for display purposes only, the checkout page will display the primary currency, which is necessary for calculating the commission, etc. So, basically, we use WooCommerce for all the payments and it will be more helpful to you to reach them out. They will be able to help you with that.
Yes the backend hard coding Hive Press uses makes things very difficult with some third party plugins. Neither Woocs /Fox nor Yay Currency switcher work out of the box. In fact both caused major issues on the site (even though within the plugin settings the currency conversions were right). Never seen anything like it in fact. See below for outcome. Yay!!!
As an update the support from Yay was amazing. Even though I was testing their free version of the plugin, they got right on it. Also now speaking to Fox about the issue. The problem is the Hive theme changes the price which leads to double conversion in the cart. Yay fixed the issue and they tell me in their next release of the plugin it will be configured to work on Hive Press. Fox I expect will do the same. Anyway that’s about 24 hours of my life I aren’t getting back but at least a significant win.
In my case I am using ListingHive and both YayCurrency and WOOCS – Currency Switcher works well in terms of switching the checkout currency symbol and rate accordingly, but they both failed to change the currency rate on the block primary and page primary - only the symbol is changed at the listing block view and listing page view level, but the currency value or figure remains the same.
For example, if the listing was register with an initial price of INR1,000. A currency switcher will switch this to USD1,000 on the listing block view and listing page view, but on the booking page or checkout page, the correct conversion figure will be shown as $12.
Could you please advice how the currency figure(the value) on the listing block view and listing page view could be affected?
To be honest I have no idea how they fixed it. All I care about is they fixed it:-) I was super impressed how quickly and efficiently Yay got on the case (with their free version of the plugin no less). I would contact their customer support and explain what problems are occurring on your site and have their techs go over it. They are making upgrades to their next plugin release to offset the conflict with the Hive theme. There is also a guy on Fiverr who know Hive development very well who has a fix for Fox Currency converter. Hope this helps. And please if Yay can help, give them a great review because to date these are the best plugin crew I have ever dealt with and they are going to do the fix on the pro version for me also (at no cost). I’m having a few problems with Hive Press but most of it is due to user problems/error and a bit of a steep learning curve coming to terms with all its features. Once you get into the back end code its a bit of a maze so try to have the plugin people look at things as it is sort of in their interests.
I was wondering… Is there a chance you could send me (ritacollinscouture@ gmail. com) a zip version of your Yay free version of the plugin that the fix was implemented?
No I can’t because the fix is not fully implemented and we also found issues with extras we are now correcting. I expect your problem relates to hooks to the blocks. We actually fixed another issue today where listing extras were not being converted. Frankly I’m pretty much disgusted by the user support of Hive Theme and their back end is so hard coded (create the problem, solve the problem but we don’t) it creates all sorts of issues. My advice in fact is to contact Neel Kapoor on Fiverr as we have been working with Yay and debugging issues. He has also already created a fix for Fox converter for Hive Theme and this fix also worked with Yay on the extras bug we encountered. And as a tip you always get what you pay for. If you want a freebie, well what can I say? Working with Yay now and have to say their customer support is second to none (which is a hell of a lot more than can be said for Hive Press which is perhaps the worst customer support I have encountered on paid themes).
