Deadline and dispute

Explain how the native deadline works in TaskHive / HivePress, specifically:

  1. What happens to the funds reserved for the transaction?

  2. If the client sends the order back for revisions after the deadline.

  3. Can both the client and the provider open a dispute?

  4. What is the deadline mechanism when a dispute is opened before or after the deadline?

  5. What is the client’s deadline for reviewing the order?

Also, any other important details about the deadline functionality in TaskHive / HivePress.

Hi,

In the current version, the dispute feature is implemented as a form (available to the buyer only, and for orders in Processing status) that sends a notification to the site admin. Then, the admin decides whether to issue a refund or decline the refund request. We plan to enhance disputes by adding a built-in timeline with details for both buyers and sellers.

If you use the auto-completion feature in HivePress/Settings/Orders, please note that there’s an order auto-completion period counting from the order date, or if Manual Delivery is enabled, counting from the last delivery without a requested revision.

Hope this helps
