Does not filling out the listing description affect SEO?

Hi Team HivePress,

I am using the Hivepress SEO Plugin with Rank Math. While exploring, a question came to my mind. I tailor my website’s requirements accordingly. I usually post listings in the form of different type of attributes only. However, several times I see Rank Math recommends me to write the description box, which I do not require.

Now my question is –
Do you think not writing the description box in the listing can badly impact my site even though I am following Google guidelines and including everything, like keeping external links? internal link )

Do you have any advise for me to keep up the full potential of SEOs

Hi,

Unfortunately, we are not very familiar with RankMath’s functionality, but most likely, if you do not enter a custom description, RankMath will simply take the first part of the listing description. This is because their recommendations specify that target keywords must be included. However, please note that if the listings are added by users themselves, it would be difficult to do this manually (if there are many listings) because it is user-generated content.
